The long-legged and modern Dakar is a son of Cardento, winner of the Silver medal at the European Championship, the World Championship and the Olympics. The legendary grand sire Nimmerdor was honored as ‘Stallion of the Century’. Looking at Dakar’s mare-line we come to the Grand Prix jumping stallion Silbersee, sire of Spender S and Calypso II, sire of world renowned Contender.

Mother Nisolde ‘Keur’ was the 3-year old Champion of the CK Groningen. She is also dam of the approved stallion Boss (Champion of the KWPN stallion inspections), Sunsolde (international jumper and Swedish Junior Champion) and Anisolde (1.40m jumpers). Grand dam Isolde (also Champion of the CK Groningen) was designated ‘Keur, Preferent and Prestatie’ with the international offspring: Magnum, Candide and Alfalfa.

Accomplishments

As a 3-year old, Dakar passed his performance test handily. Dakar jumps at international 1.50m with James Billington. As an 8-year old Dakar jumped to 7th place in the 1.50m level Derby of Drammen.

As a 7-year old he became Champion of the Stallion Competition 1.30m/1.35m level. There were more great results: At the CSI Roosendaal was a 5th place in the youngster Tour and a 7th in the Final. He placed 7th in the 7-year…
