With the approval of Boston VDL, VDL Stud once again offers a stallion from its own breeding and from one of the stud's most successful damlines. Boston VDL is a son of Baltic VDL, who has already been declared ‘Preferent’ and has made his mark in the international showjumping sport. Baltic VDL's most famous offspring are undoubtedly Leone Jei ridden by Martin Fuchs and Faltic HB ridden by Ben Maher. With Zirocco Blue VDL and Cardento on the dam's side, two more absolute foundation sires have been added to Boston VDL's pedigree. Offspring such as Elysium, Zilton SL Z, Zuccero and Glamour Girl represent Zirocco Blue at the very highest level, and for Cardento, Kilkenny, Katanga van het Dingeshof, Grand Slam VDL and Catch Me Not S still do so on a weekly basis.

Boston VDL's dam Jeune Dame VDL is bred out of the successful broodmare B Dame VDL. She produced, among others, Icoon VDL, now known as Rock of Cashel; under the saddle of Hessel Hoekstra, Icoon VDL won the Grand Prix of Eindhoven, placed third in the Grand Prix of Falsterbo and was travelling reserve for the World Championships in Herning.
